Audience focus group

I created a questionnaire for my magazine, to see how many people listen to music and what type of music they listen to, I asked to two willing participants who I thought suite my magazine and the results can be seen below.

Photographic Influences

Here are my photographic influences from pop artists, and the styles of the photos that i would like to incorporate into my magazine.
























In all the 'Top of the pops' magazines below, the main photographs have been taken in a studio, the backgrounds are bright white or pale and I would like to incorporate this into my own magazine front cover. the colours used are all block colours, for example: red, white, blue, green. The background also contrasts very well with the models as they can be clearly seen, this wouldn't be the case if the background colours were dark.

I will consider greatly what my model will look like, I will use what I have found in these magazine front covers and use them to my advantage as I think I will be able to use them greatly and make some good effects with them.

Props and Locations

Props:

Below are some props that I plan on using in my front cover, ranging from microphones, staffs and even animals that I might use in the photographs. There are plenty of other props that I would like to incorporate into my music magazine front cover but these ones below are my main focus as they are well known and could portray a certain symbol for example the bandanna could portray whoever is wearing it to be an artist who differentiates themselves from others and they are bandit like.     

Locations:

Below are some locations that I would like to use, there are: a rusty factory type location, brick wall, crumbling steps and also a studio. These are very appealing towards me because I believe I can create some good effects with these backgrounds/locations. With the band and artist ideas that I have in my mind these locations would suit their egos and would represent them very well.
