Here are some existing products that I have found on the internet, all of these front covers are very similar in many ways, for example: all the models are facing towards the audience to have a larger effect on them, they are aimed towards the same audience (older/maturer people, age range is around 25-40). All the mastheads are placed behind the model, this is because the brands of the magazines are very well known and kno0w the target audience will be able to make out the masthead.
I am not aiming to put my masthead behind the model within my main photograph as my magazine will not be as widely known as some of the ones portrayed above. I like many of the camera shots that are used here as nearly all of them are medium close ups, I believe that a medium close up for my final front cover would be great to use as they work greatly as you get to see the most intriguing thing about the front page, the model's facial expression.
Other things within these existing products are the headers that are used, for example, the bottom right image, has changed the angle that it is posed, they have turned it slightly diagonal making the magazine more attractive and original, this is a great way to catch the audience's eyes and make them read it, the magazine is aimed towards women. From the 'GQ' magazine the model is holding a prop, a football, in my final front cover I would also like to use a prop, preferably something that the audience will associate with college or being at some school or form of education, I believe that in doing so, it will make the magazine front cover more authentic and original, and possibly even intrigue the audience to have a look and read.

Magazine name and type style

My favourite name is for my magazine was 'STUDY' and I think the font used on it was very good for the word as well as it stands out towards me as a person and is very bold and intriguing. I think I am going to use this name and text for my final front cover.

Mood Board and influences

All of the images above all caught my eye and were very intriguing to me, they are just what I needed for inspiration and to influence me. They are all targeting the same audience that I am aiming to target, college students and teachers who work within a college.
I like many of the shots used within these images that are portrayed above, for example, there are many types of medium close ups that I am thinking of using in my final front cover such as the image on the bottom left of the girl who is studying at a table desk or the image were a girl is holding a test tube and looking directly towards it.
Other things that intrigue me in these images are the camera angles that are used, such as the one were the sportsman is sitting down in the changing rooms, this is a high angle shot and is really intriguing towards me, another one that I would like to use is the twisted camera angle used on the top left image as it works for the photo greatly and I believe that it will give me many different opportunities to play with and develop many ideas from.
